A look at what's happening in Cleveland State Athletics... 

Men's Tennis
-Cleveland State (19-7) captured its seventh Horizon League Tournament Title in program history last weekend, earning the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
-The top-seeded Vikings picked up a 4-0 victory over IUPUI in the semifinals before notching a 4-1 victory over UIC in the championship match.
-Cleveland State's seven #HLMTEN tournament crowns are tied for the second most in Horizon League history, while the Vikings are just the second team to win back-to-back titles on multiple occasions.
-The Vikings will host an NCAA Selection Show Watch Party on Monday night (April 29), with doors opening at 5:30 p.m. and the selection show beginning at 6:00 p.m. in the Wolstein Center.

Women's Tennis
-The Vikings (16-9) earned a spot in the #HLWTEN Championship match for the first time in five years last weekend, but came up short against top-seeded UIC in the title contest.
-Cleveland State entered the Horizon League Tournament as the No. 2 seed, and picked up a 4-2 victory over Oakland in the semifinals, before dropping a 4-0 contest to the Flames in the final match.
-The Vikings were under the direction of first-year head coach Frank Polito, and tied a program record for Horizon League wins in a single-season with eight.

Men's Golf
-Cleveland State wrapped up the 2018-19 season last week, placing seventh at the Horizon League Championship.
-Sophomore Zach Robbins led the Vikings at the #HLGolf championship, finishing tied for 10th with a three-round score of 225.
-Robbins also represented the Vikings on the All-Horizon League teams, earning a spot on the All-League Second Team after posting a team-best 74.6 average this season.

Women's Golf
-The Vikings concluded the 2019 spring season last week, finishing third at the Horizon League Championship.
-Madison Butler was named to the All-Tournament Team after pacing the Vikings with a fourth place overall finish (229).
-Ashley Knight also recorded a top-10 individual finish, placing eighth with a three-round score of 236.
-Butler was named to the All-Horizon League Second Team after recording five top-five finishes this year.

Lacrosse
- Cleveland State concluded the season with an 11-9 win over Detroit Mercy this past week.
- With the win, the Vikings registered a winning record in the program's third season of existence, finishing with a new high of eight wins.
- Sophomore Michael Wilson led the offensive effort against the Titans with six points and finished the season with 53.

Softball
-Cleveland State (14-31, 7-14) will wrap up regular season play this week, traveling to Bowling Green for a midweek doubleheader on Tuesday, April 30 before traveling to Northern Kentucky for a three-game Horizon League series (Friday, May 3 and Saturday, May 4).
-Last time out, the Vikings combined to go 3-3 in a pair of league series' against Oakland and Wright State, including a 2-1 record against the Raiders in the final home series of the season.
-Entering the final week of regular season play, Kelly Hysong leads the Vikings with 53 hits this season, while Hysong and Lindsay Ward are tied with 22 runs each.

Outdoor Track & Field
-The Vikings will return to action at the Horizon League Outdoor Championship this weekend, participating in the three-day event Friday, May 3 – Sunday, May 5 in Youngstown, Ohio.
-Last year, Cleveland State placed seventh at the #HLTF Outdoor Championship, paced by Hannah Gaskins who was named the Field Events Co-Freshman of the Year.
-Last time out, the Vikings participated in the Jesse Owens Relays, led by Tylar Mixon who posted a program record time of 25.04 in the 200 Meter Dash.

Vikings Of The Week
Men's Tennis
The Vikings captured their seventh Horizon League Tournament Title last weekend, picking up a 4-0 win over IUPUI in the semifinals and a 4-1 victory over UIC in the title match en route to their second straight #HLMTEN crown. Cleveland State's seven tournament titles are tied for the second most in league history, with all seven coming under the direction of current head coach Brian Etzkin.
