A look at what's happening in Cleveland State Athletics... 

Lacrosse
-Cleveland State (7-7) will close its third season this Wednesday, April 24, when it hosts Detroit Mercy at 7:00 p.m.
-The Vikings got back in the win column last weekend with a comfortable 17-8 win at Utah.
-Michael Wilson had seven points while long-stick midfielder Zach Whitenack had three points, three caused turnovers and four ground balls.

Men's Tennis
-Cleveland State (17-7, 6-0) will look to defend its Horizon League Tournament Title this weekend, as the Vikings enter the 2019 #HLMTEN Tournament as the No. 1 seed after capturing the regular season crown last weekend.
-The Vikings picked up back-to-back 6-1 wins over IUPUI and UIC last time out, capping off a perfect 6-0 league slate to capture their sixth Horizon League Regular Season title.
-Cleveland State will begin play in the upcoming Horizon League Tournament with a semifinal contest on Saturday, April 27, with the championship match slated for Sunday, April 28.

Women's Tennis
-Cleveland State (15-8, 8-1) will enter the 2019 Horizon League Tournament as the No. 2 seed, after finishing regular season play as co-champions with an 8-1 league record.
-Last time out, the Vikings picked up a 7-0 sweep over IUPUI before dropping a 4-3 decision against UIC in the regular season finale.
-The Vikings, who tied a program record with the eight #HLWTEN wins, will begin play in the upcoming tournament with a semifinal contest on Saturday, April 27, with the championship match set for Sunday, April 28.

Softball
-The Vikings (11-28, 4-11) will once again have a busy week ahead, as they are slated for a three-game midweek series at Oakland (Tuesday, April 23 & Wednesday, April 24), before returning home for a three-game series against Wright State (Friday, April 26 & Saturday, April 27).
-Last time out, Cleveland State went 1-2 against IUPUI, picking up a 1-0 win against the Jaguars in the series opener.
-Kelly Hysong led the Viking offense against IUPUI, going 6-for-10 with a double, a triple and two home runs. Entering the week, Hysong ranks second among league players with nine home runs so far this season. 

Men's Golf
-Cleveland State will continue play at the 2019 Horizon League Championship today and tomorrow, as the Vikings are looking to capture their sixth consecutive league title.
-After the first day of action, the Vikings are seventh in the team standings, while Zach Robbins is tied for 12th after a four-over par 76 in the first round.
-Through the first 18 holes, Robbins recorded three birdies and is just five strokes behind the day-one leader.

Women's Golf
-The Vikings will continue play at the 2019 Horizon League Championship today and tomorrow, looking to capture their second league title in program history.
-Cleveland State is currently third in the team standings after the first round of play, while Madison Butler is tied for first and Ashley Knight is tied for fourth in the individual standings.
-During the opening round, Butler carded a two-over par 75, while Knight posted a three-over par 76 to lead the Vikings.

Outdoor Track & Field
-Cleveland State will have its final tune-up before the 2019 Horizon League Outdoor Championship this week, as the Vikings will take part in the Jesse Owens Relays hosted by Ohio State on Friday, April 26 and Saturday, April 27.
-Last time out, the Vikings recorded four first place and four second place finishes at the CWRU Invitational, with event wins coming in the 100 Meter Hurdles, 100 Meter Dash, Javelin, and 4x400 Meter Relay.
-Entering the week, Cleveland State owns four top-five marks among league schools, including Monica Johnson (100H-5th) and Julianne Dorothal (JAV-4th) who rank among the league's best individually.

Viking Of The Week
Zach Whitenack, Lacrosse
The long-stick midfielder was a force on both ends of the field in helping the Vikings to their seventh win of the season. He had a career-high three points, including his second multi-goal game this month, and added three caused turnovers and four ground balls in the win over the Utes.
