A LOOK AT WHAT'S HAPPENING

MEN'S GOLF
• The Vikings claimed their third straight Horizon League title and seventh in the last 11 years over the weekend in Florida.
• CSU was in second place after a first round 291, but a one-under-par 287 in the second round moved the Vikings into first place and a final round 300 gave the Vikings their third consecutive title.
• Joey Krecic finished as the runner-up with three straight rounds of 71, while Patrick Luth was third with rounds of 74-71-70. The duo were both named to the all-tournament team.
• With the League title, CSU earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Regionals which will take place from May 16-18 in Tuscaloosa, Ala., Tucson, Ariz., Kohler, Wis., Albuquerque, N.M., Stillwater, Okla., and Nashville, Tenn. The selection show is scheduled for May 5 at 9:30 am on the Golf Channel.

WOMEN'S GOLF
• The Vikings finished fourth at the Horizon League Championship over the weekend in Florida.
• Allyson Hackman placed third overall with rounds of 77-78-77 and earned a spot on the all-tournament team for the third straight year.
• A three-time first team all-league selection, Hackman finished her career with a 78.9 scoring average, tops in program history.

SOFTBALL
• CSU (13-27, 6-9 HL) plays six road games this week, starting with a three-game series at Oakland on Tuesday and Wednesday. The Vikings also play a three-game series at Detroit on Saturday and Sunday.
• The Vikings took two of three from Northern Kentucky over the weekend at Viking Field, winning the series opener, 5-3, on Friday and the series finale, 11-0, in five innings on Saturday.
• Macy Kaisk pitched a complete game, four-hitter in the win on Saturday.
• The Vikings hit .333 over the three games against NKU as Susan Knight totaled five hits and Erica McNew, Alyson Broschk and Katelind Phillips all had four hits in the series.

MEN'S TENNIS
• CSU (12-11, 2-4 HL) closes the regular season with a 7:00 pm home match vs. Baldwin-Wallace on Tuesday ahead of this weekend's Horizon League Championship in Ann Arbor, Mich.
• The Vikings are the No. 5 seed for the tournament and will play No. 4 seed Youngstown State in a first round match on Friday at 3:00 pm. The winner advances to a semifinal match on Saturday at 3:00 pm.
• CSU split a pair of matches last week, winning and UIC and falling at Valparaiso.

WOMEN'S TENNIS
• The Vikings (14-8, 8-1 HL) captured the Horizon League regular season title and will be the top seed in this weekend's Horizon League Championship in Ann Arbor, Mich.
• As the top seed, CSU receives a bye to the semifinals and will open play in the league tournament on Saturday against the winner of a first round match between No. 4 Milwaukee and No. 5 Wright State.
• CSU earned a 4-3 win at UIC on Saturday and a 7-0 victory on Sunday at Valparaiso to clinch the regular season title. It is CSU's second regular season championship in the last three years.
• The eight League wins are a program record.

VIKINGS OF THE WEEK

Men's Golf Team - Horizon League Champions

The men's golf team captured its third straight Horizon League Championship with rounds of 295-287-300 over the weekend. It was the third straight League title for CSU and the seventh in the last 11 years. Joey Krecic finished second overall, while Patrick Luth was third as both were named to the all-tournament team. Blake Prince tied for 19th place, while Paul Minko and Mitchell Moore tied for 27th place.

OTHER TOP PERFORMERS

Allyson Hackman: The women's golf senior earned a spot on the All-Horizon League first team and placed third at the League tournament.

Joey Krecic: The men's golf sophomore was named to the All-Horizon League first team and finished second at the League tournament over the weekend.

Women's Tennis Team: Wins at UIC and Valparaiso over the weekend helped CSU clinch the regular season title and the No. 1 seed in this week's League tournament.
