A LOOK AT WHAT'S HAPPENING

MEN'S GOLF
    •    CSU is back in action at the Horizon League Championship which runs from Friday through Sunday (April 22-24) at Mission Inn Resort in Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla.
    •    CSU has won the last two League titles and has captured six of the last 10 overall championships.
    •    The Vikings closed the regular season by placing second at the Earl Yestingsmeier Invitational over the weekend, CSU's fourth straight top-two finish.
    •    CSU had three players place in the top-eight, including the duo of Paul Minko and Anton Krecic who tied for fifth place and Patrick Luth who finished eighth.

WOMEN'S GOLF
    •    The Vikings return to action at the Horizon League Championship from Friday through Sunday (April 22-24) in Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla. at the Mission Inn Resort.
    •    CSU has been out of action since the EKU Colonel Classic on April 1-2 as its regular season finale at Bowling Green (April 9-10) was canceled due to snow.
    •    Allyson Hackman leads the team with a 78.9 scoring average, while Rayna Oosterhuis is averaging 79.4 per round.

SOFTBALL
    •    CSU (11-26, 4-8 HL) hosts Northern Kentucky for three games this weekend, playing a single game at 4:00 pm on Friday (April 22) and a doubleheader on Saturday (April 23) at 12:00 pm.
    •    The Vikings split six games last week, taking one out of three from Youngstown State and winning two of three at Valparaiso over the weekend.
    •    Erica McNew tied an NCAA record with four intentional walks in both games on Saturday. She has reached base in 14 straight plate appearances, tied for the second most in NCAA history and four shy of tying the record.
    •    Mackenzie Joecken hit a grand slam in the final game at Valpo, CSU's fourth grand slam of the year.

MEN'S TENNIS
    •    The Vikings (11-10, 1-3 HL) will wrap up regular season Horizon League action this weekend, traveling to UIC (Saturday, April 23) and Valparaiso (Sunday, April 24).
    •    Last time out Cleveland State dropped a tough 5-2 contest to Green Bay, with Joe VanMeter and Benajmin Slade picking up singles wins for the Vikings.
    •    With his win at No. 2 singles, VanMeter is now tied for sixth on the CSU singles wins list, entering the weekend with 71 career victories.

WOMEN'S TENNIS
    •    CSU (12-8, 6-1 HL) closes out the regular season this weekend, traveling to UIC (Saturday, April 23) and Valparaiso (Sunday, April 24) for the Vikings' final Horizon League regular season contests of 2016.
    •    Last weekend the Vikings split their two matches, dropping a hard-fought 4-3 decision to Milwaukee and sweeping Green Bay, 7-0.
    •    Victoria Bensimon and Aleksandra Golawska both went 2-0 in singles action on the weekend, with Bensimon notching her 50th career victory against Milwaukee.

VIKING OF THE WEEK

Erica McNew, Softball, Senior, Canton, Ohio

McNew hit .600 (6-10) with eight runs, three homers and nine RBI in six games last week. She posted a 1.600 slugging percentage and a .846 on-base percentage, reaching base in 22 of her 26 plate appearances, which included 16 walks. McNew has reached base in 14 straight plate appearances, tied for the second most in NCAA history. Her four intentional walks in both games at Valpo on Saturday also tied an NCAA single game record.

OTHER TOP PERFORMERS

Victoria Bensimon: The women's tennis junior won both of her singles and both of her doubles matches over the weekend, reaching 50 career singles wins.

Alyson Broschk: The softball senior hit .389 (7-18) with two runs, three doubles, a homer and three RBI in CSU's six games last week.

Anton Krecic: The men's golf freshman tied for fifth place at the Earl Yestingsmeier Invitational, carding rounds of 72-73-71 (216; +6).
