MEN'S GOLF
    •    CSU plays its final event before the League Championship on Friday and Saturday (April 15-16) at the Earl Yestingmeier Invitational hosted by Ball State.
    •    The Vikings finished as the runner-up at the Wright State Invitational (April 4-5) and have finished second, first and second in their last three events.
    •    Joey Krecic won the WSU Invitational with a 54-hole total of even par 213 (72-71-70). It was his second title of the season and he continues to lead the team with a 73.0 scoring average.
    •    Mitchell Moore carded a final round two-under-par 69 and finished in sixth place at 219 (74-76-69), while Patrick Luth tied for seventh place at 220 (73-77-70).

WOMEN'S GOLF
    •    The Vikings will be out of action until the Horizon League Championship which runs from April 22-24 in Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla.
    •    CSU's final regular season event, the Dolores Black Falcon Invitational, was canceled over the weekend due to snow and unplayable conditions in Northwest Ohio.

SOFTBALL
    •    CSU (8-23, 1-5 HL) plays six League games this week, starting with a three-game series at home vs. Youngstown State. The teams play a single game on Tuesday (April 12) and two on Wednesday (April 13).
    •    CSU dropped three games at Wright State over the weekend, including the final two on Sunday by one run each. Katelind Phillips went 6-for-11 in the three games and is sixth in the league in average (.394).
    •    Erica McNew is having another strong season at the plate, ranking second in average (.464) and home runs (7), fourth in RBI (27) and first in walks (28).

MEN'S TENNIS
    •    The Vikings (10-9, 1-2 HL) will look to even their record in Horizon League play this weekend, hosting Green Bay on Sunday, April 17 in their lone contest of the week.
    •    Cleveland State dropped a tough 4-3 contest to Youngstown State on Friday (April 8), with Mirko Radosevic (No. 2) and Colton Buffington (No. 3) picking up singles wins.
    •    With his win last weekend, Radosevic who stands at 17-13 in singles play this year, just three wins shy of notching his first career 20-win season.

WOMEN'S TENNIS
    •    Cleveland State (11-7, 5-0 HL) will put its seven-match win streak on the line this weekend, as the Vikings are set to host a trio of matches in their final homestand of the 2015-16 season.
    •    The Vikings will attempt to stay perfect in Horizon League, hosting Milwaukee (Saturday, April 16) and Green Bay (Sunday, April 17), while they will also face Case Western in a non-league match Saturday.
    •    Last weekend, CSU picked up a trio of wins, including a hard-fought 4-3 victory over Youngstown State to give the Penguins their first league loss of the year and keep CSU undefeated in the League.
    •    Victoria Bensimon led the Vikings on the weekend, going 3-0 in singles play along with picking up a doubles win against YSU. Isabella Spindler clinched the victory over YSU with a 7-6 (5), 2-6, 7-6 (9) win at No. 1 singles, rallying from an 0-5 deficit in the third set.

VIKING OF THE WEEK

Isabella Spindler, Women's Tennis, Freshman, Clarkston, Mich.

Spindler led the Vikings to three wins over the weekend, winning two matches at No. 1 singles, two at No. 1 doubles and a match at No. 3 singles. In Friday's win over Youngstown State, Spindler clinched a 4-3 win, rallying from 0-5 down in the third set to win 7-6 (5), 2-6, 7-6 (9) in a battle of undefeated League teams.

OTHER TOP PERFORMERS

Victoria Bensimon: The women's tennis junior went 3-0 in singles and 1-0 in doubles to help CSU to a trio of wins last weekend.

Joey Krecic: The men's golf sophomore won the Wright State Invitational with rounds of 72-71-70, helping the Vikings to a runner-up finish at the event.

Erin O'Toole: The women's soccer senior earned the President's Award at the Academic Luncheon last week for the highest GPA among graduating seniors (3.93).
