INDIANAPOLIS – Cleveland State junior Torrey Patton has been named the Horizon League Player of the Week the league office announced on Monday.
Patton had a career game in the Vikings 82-74 victory over Youngstown State on Saturday in the Wolstein Center.
He scored a career-high 25 points, grabbed a career-high eight rebounds and handed out a career-high six assists leading the Vikings to their second consecutive Horizon League victory.
Patton becomes the first Viking to receive the league's weekly honor this season.
Cleveland State, which is tied for second in the Horizon League, is off to the best start in league play since the 2014-15 season.
The Vikings return to action on Thursday (Jan. 9) when it hosts Detroit Mercy at 7 p.m. in the Wolstein Center.
