CLEVELAND - Danielle Siefker had a Senior Night to remember, blasting a match-high 17 kills on .483 hitting to lead Cleveland State past Youngstown State, 30-18, 30-14, 30-20. In addition, the Kalida, Ohio native became just the 10th player in school history to record 1,000 career kills.

With their 15th sweep of the season, the Vikings improve to 18-8 overall and 8-6 in the Horizon League, locking up at least the No. 4 seed in the upcoming league championship (Nov. 17-19 at Wright State).

"I really liked the way we put three complete games together from beginning to end," CSU head coach Chuck Voss said. "I really think we're meshing as a team at the right time. Danielle was fantastic tonight -- I was a little worried about her controlling her emotions, but she was great. I can't say enough about her performance."

Siefker tallied a match-high five blocks, while freshman Beth Greulich added nine kills and four blocks. Freshman Alexis Korovich recorded seven kills, a .462 hitting percentage and 13 digs and sophomore Jordan Bateman posted a match-best 17 digs.

Ruth Boscaljon led the Penguins with nine kills and two blocks, while Amanda Cindric tallied 13 digs.

CSU dominated YSU statistically, leading in hitting percentage (.336 to .018), digs (57 to 41) and blocks (10 to 4) as the Vikings never trailed in the match.

Cleveland State now will await the results of Saturday's final two Horizon League matches to find out where it will be seeded in the league championship. If UW-Milwaukee and UW-Green Bay defeat Wright State and Butler, respectively, the Vikings will finish in a four-way tie for second and earn the No. 3 seed. With any other result, CSU will tie UIC for third and be seeded fourth.
