GREEN BAY, Wis. - Beth Greulich and Liz Fazio had 18 kills each to lead Cleveland State to a 3-1 win at Green Bay in Horizon League action on Friday night at the Kress Events Center.

Match scores were 27-25, 25-19, 19-25, 25-20.

The win improves CSU to 24-6 overall and 12-2 in the Horizon League as the Vikings maintained their hold on first place in the league, one-and-a-half matches ahead of Valparaiso.

CSU has two regular season matches left, while the Crusaders have three.

Green Bay fell to 9-17 overall and 4-9 in league play.

"This was a nice win for us," head coach Chuck Voss said. "We started out slow but were able to put some things together and really get a big win. Anytime you can win on the road in the league is a good sign, but we can't enjoy this to much as we have a big match at a very tough Milwaukee team tomorrow."

Fazio added 16 digs for her 13th double-double of the season

Kara Koch add 10 kills for the Vikings, while Jordan Goad finished with a double-double of 52 assists and 15 digs. Maggie Bonomini added 25 digs and Amy Grabiec had 12.

Holly Visser paced the Phoenix with 15 kills, while Carmen Leitermann added 11. Laura Garrow made 21 digs and Whitney Schott handed out 47 assists.

The Vikings hit .260, while UWGB hit .215.

CSU will be back in action on Saturday (Nov. 7) when the Vikings travel to Milwaukee for a 5:00 p.m. EST match.
