Three Vikings Hit Double-Digit Kills In Victory Over Youngstown State

CLEVELAND - Senior Michelle Iafigliola (Mentor, Ohio/Mentor) paced three Vikings in double figures with 21 kills to lead Cleveland State to a 30-27, 30-19, 22-30, 30-19 Horizon League win over visiting Youngstown State at Woodling Gymnasium Friday night.

Sophomore Jamie Bouyer (Bedford Heights, Ohio/Chanel) hit a stellar .500 with 17 kills while freshman Alisa Hatcher (Bellefontaine, Ohio/Bellefontaine) added 13 kills, hitting .423. Hatcher also accounted for 14 digs, matching Emily Clark's (Bolivar, Ohio/Tuscarawas Valley) team-high. Senior Kristine Dabbelt (Batavia, Ohio/Batavia) added to the cause with six block assists.

The Penguins were led by Colleen Royer and Annie Buschur with 11 kills apiece. In addition, YSU's Melanie Pounders took game honors wtih 17 digs while Buscher equaled Dabbelt's output with six blocks.

CSU improved to 15-8 overall and 3-5 in the Horizon League. YSU dropped to 8-16, 0-8.
