CLEVELAND, Ohio - Beth Greulich had 14 kills and Kara Koch added 10 to lead Cleveland State to its fourth straight win, a 3-0 sweep over Loyola in Horizon League action on Saturday afternoon in Woodling Gym.

Match scores were 25-16, 25-22, 25-14.

The win improved CSU to 15-5 overall and 4-1 in the league, while Loyola slipped to 9-9 (2-3 HL).

"I was proud of the way we played today," head coach Chuck Voss said. "I thought we had good tempo and really played well again on defense. Loyola is a good team and I thought we did a good job of frustrating them a little bit.

"Beth has really been on a roll for us lately. She has been swinging hard and finding open spots to hit to.

Greulich had just one error in 26 attempts, hitting .500 for the match.

Liz Fazio added nine kills and 11 digs, just missing a double-double, while Jordan Goad finished with 38 assists and eight digs. Maggie Bonomini posted a match-best 15 digs.

Loyola was led by Mallory Curran, Dana Van Diggelen and Colleen Francis who had five kills each.

The Vikings will be back in action on Wednesday (Oct. 7) when CSU heads to Youngstown State for a 7:00 p.m. match.
