CLEVELAND, Ohio - Cleveland State junior pitcher Amanda Macenko, who set a school record with 28 wins this season, has been named to the 2009 All-Midwest Region team, which was announced by the National Fast Pitch Coaches Association on Friday.

"I couldn't be happier for Amanda," CSU head coach Angie Nicholson said. "She has been a dominant pitcher in the circle for us the last three years and her selection is an indication that our opponents respect what she has accomplished."

A native of Brunswich, Ohio, Macenko was also an all-region selection a year ago. She was named the Horizon League Pitcher of the Year for the second straight season after going 28-12 with a 2.53 ERA. She set CSU single season records for wins, starts (46) and appearances (46).

Macenko is the holder of CSU career record for wins (80), starts (115), complete games (92) and innings pitched (763.1)
