CLEVELAND - As they say "One good turn deserves another." A day after helping lead Cleveland State to its first-ever series victory over UIC, senior catcher Jackie Cornelius was named Horizon League Player of the Week. This marks the first time in her career that the Cincinnati native has been honored.

Cornelius went 6-for-12 (.500) at the plate with a 1.083 slugging percentage, four runs scored and three walks in five games last week. In Saturday's doubleheader with the Flames, she went 4-for-5 with her first career grand slam, a pair of triples and eight RBI. She drove in a career-high five runs to help CSU win the opener, then followed with three more RBI in the nightcap.

Cleveland State closes out its two-week, nine-game road trip with single games against Youngstown State (May 3) and Kent State (May 5). The Vikings will then wrap up the regular season with a three-game set against Loyola at Viking Field over the weekend (May 7-8).
