CLEVELAND, Ohio - Four high school seniors have signed National Letters of Intent to attend Cleveland State University and wrestle for the Vikings beginning next fall, head coach Ben Stehura announced Wednesday (April 25) afternoon.

Daniel King (Susquehanna Township High School - Pennsylvania), Tyler Rios (Highland Park High School - New Jersey), Ray Stone (Saint Vincent-Saint Mary High School - Ohio) and Riley Shaw (Washington [Court House] High School - Ohio) will all wear the Green and White beginning next fall and will enter school with four years of eligibility.

That quartet joins R.J. LaBeef who signed with Cleveland State during the fall signing period.

"We feel like we have really put together an excellent recruiting class," Stehura said. "I know our coaching staff is really looking forward to this group arriving on campus. We're bringing in five guys who have performed extremely well in high school and have the abilities to make a big difference for our program at the collegiate level."

King racked up an 82-17 record over his final three years of high school, including 38 pins and five technical falls. He placed eighth nationally at 112 pounds as a freshman in 2009 to earn National High School Coaches Association (NHSCA) All-American status. As a junior in 2011, King placed fifth at 130 pounds to pick up another All-American accolade.

He was a two-time placer at the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association state meet.

Rios finished his career with a 115-20 record, making him the all-time winningest grappler in school history. He was a two-time state qualifier - the first in school history to even qualify for the meet - including a fourth place finish at 189 pounds as a junior.

He was a combined 59-5 over his final two seasons while wrestling at 189 and 195 pounds.

Rios placed fifth at the 2012 FloNationals meet at 195 pounds and represented the state in the Easton Lions Classic, an all-star meet between New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Stone was a state qualifier at 215 pounds as a sophomore in 2012 before placing his final two seasons.

He placed sixth in Division II at 215 pounds at the 2011 Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) state meet before coming back with a third place finish at 220 pounds at the 2012 meet.

Stone took second at the 2011 Super 32 Challenge in Greensboro, N.C. He also helped his high school team take the title at the 27th annual Solon Comet Classic in 2011 and was SVSM's only champion.

Shaw won the last two OHSAA Division II state championships at 285 pounds, including a perfect 42-0 season as a senior. He placed all three years after taking fourth at 215 pounds as a sophomore in 2010.

He helped the Blue Lions win six tournament titles during his senior season, including the first-ever South Central Ohio League title in program history en route to a a Southwest Ohio Division II District Tournament title.

The Vikings will lose just two seniors from the 2011-12 team to graduation and return a strong nucleus for the 2012-13 season.
