MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - The Cleveland State wrestling team closed out its 2010-11 regular season with a meet at West Virginia, falling to the Mountaineers, 46-0. The Vikings end the year with a 3-13 overall record.

Ben Willeford had the closes match of the night for CSU. The freshman lost his 125 bout by a 6-1 decision. Aric Thurn, wrestling at 174, also lost by decision, dropping his match, 13-6.

"We'll take what happened tonight, learn from it, and move on," head coach Ben Stehura said. "We've got the conference championships in a couple weeks, and we have some guys who I think have a good shot to place in that tournament. Our focus now will be to do everything possible to put those guys in a position to do well in the championships."

The Vikings will be off from competition for the next two weeks as they prepare for the EWL Championships, set to be held at Bloomsburg on Sunday, March 6 beginning at 8:00 a.m.
