2013-14 SOPHOMORE SEASON

3-2 at Navy Classic...2-2 at Southern Scuffle...3rd at Lake Erie Open...6th at Edinboro Open...defeated Xavi Ramos of Duke...defeated Tyson Dippery of Rutgers...defeated Midlands Placer Tyler Argue of Northern Illinois.

2012-13- FRESHMAN SEASON

Went 16-17 at 133 pounds... had three pins, two major decisions, and 10 decisions for CSU... had a strong showing at the Eastern Michigan Open, picking up a sixth place finish at 133 pounds and finished with a 3-2 record... went 4-1 at the Navy Classic finishing third... one of his three pins came against Eastern Michigan’s Vincent Pizzuto.

2011-12- REDSHIRT SEASON

Won a team-high 26 matches - 11 of which came on pins - while competing on the open circuit…Opened his career with a fourth place finish and a 6-2 performance at the Eastern Michigan Open (Nov. 5), including two pins, a tech fall and a major decision…went 5-0 and captured the title of the freshman/sophomore bracket at the Michigan State Open (Nov. 12)…Finished 2-3 at the Nittany Lion Open (Dec. 4), winning his bouts on a 7-0 decision and a pin…Went 4-1 at the Ashland Storm Open (Jan. 7)…dropped his first match at the Mount Union Purple Raider Open (Jan. 15) but responded with two pins and a major decision victory…Recorded three pins at the Simonson Open (Jan. 28)…finished the year with a 2-1 showing at the National Collegiate Open (Feb. 26).

HIGH SCHOOL

Two time sectional and Mentor district champion while at Mayfield High School…Named News-Herald `Wrestler of the Year’ in 2011…placed seventh at the Ohio High School Athletic Association meet at 130 pounds as a junior in 2010…runner-up at the state meet in 2011, losing by decision to a wrestler he beat at the district meet…won 45 times a senior…all of his losses came to top-four finishers at the state meet.

Born November 21, 1992 in Mayfield, Ohio…son of Joe and Lisa Carlone…has two sisters, Melissa and Deanna…intends to major in mechanical engineering.
