After dropping the first set, 6-3, against Jan Hroch, West stormed back by winning the next two sets 6-2, 6-1. The only other match to go three sets was senior Dan Singer's 7-5, 4-6, 7-6 (6) setback against Peter Raben at No. 4 singles.
"We had some opportunities in some spots, but couldn't win any big points," head coach Brian Etzkin said. "
All three of CSU's doubles teams lost, 8-2. Hawai'i Pacific controlled the first three singles spots in three sets to clinch the match early.
