GREEN BAY, Wis. - Senior Andrew Hancock and junior Warren Vickers picked up where they left off last year, combining for five first place finishes to propel Cleveland State (1-0, 1-0 Horizon League) past UW-Green Bay (0-1, 0-1 HL). The Vikings topped the defending Horizon League champions in the season-opening meet for both squads.

Hancock won the 1,000 yard free (9:59.67), 200 yard fly (1:54.28) and 500 yard free (4:50.46), while Vickers earned victories in the 200 yard free (1:44.40) and 100 yard free (47.06). In addition, junior Chris Jones (Brookpark, Ohio/Berea) won both the 1 meter and 3 meter diving events.

Also earning first place finishes for CSU were senior Lyle Wilkens (Bloemfontein, South Africa/Grey College) and sophomore Gabriel Linton (Nora, Sweden/Rudbecksskolan) in the 200 yard back and 200 yard breast, respectively.

CSU's 400 yard free relay team closed out the meet with a winning time of 3:11.50.

The Vikings are in action again on Saturday, Nov. 9 when they host St. Bonaventure at 1:00 p.m.
