CLEVELAND, Ohio-  The Cleveland State men's soccer team picked up their sixth win of the season on Wednesday night, defeating Detroit, 5-2 at Krenzler Field.

The Vikings (6-9-0, HL 2-2-0) were led by senior forward Admir Suljevic who scored a trio of goals in the match.  Suljevic's three goals on the night gives him a team lead of five goals on the year.  Besides Suljevic's three goals, freshman Dan Koniarczyk and Gianluca Cuomo scored their first goals of their collegiate career.

In the first half, the Vikings tallied the first points of the match at the 23:17 minute-mark when Admir Suljevic scored his first of three goals from the top of the box to give the Vikings an early 1-0 lead.  Freshman Amari Williams set Suljevic up with a cross pass for the assist.  Suljevic continued his offensive attack at the net when he scored his second goal from the corner of the net at the 37:14 minute-mark of the contest.  Sergio Manesio was credited on the assist with an impressive back kick pass.

Cleveland State continued to attack against Detroit's defense in the second half.  Suljevic added his third goal of the game off of a penalty kick at the 49th minute of the match, giving the Vikings a comfortable 3-0 lead.  Detroit's Matt Ybarra would score the first goal of the game for the Titans coming at the 72:32 minute-mark.  Adam Bedell was credited on the assist, setting up the score from the top of the box.

CSU would not be alarmed and would continue to be aggressive.  Freshman Dan Koniarczyk put the match out of reach at the 88:24 minute-mark, scoring his first goal as a Viking, giving the Vikings a commanding 4-1 advantage.  Senior Aslinn Rodas tallied his third assist to set up Koniarczyk with a cross pass. 

Detroit answered with their second goal of the game by Zachary Atwood late in the match, but would be the last points the Titans would end up with by night's end.  The Vikings put one last goal on the scoreboard to seal up the victory thanks to Gianluca Cuomo.  Cuomo's goal was his first goal of the year as a Viking and CSU wound up winning 5-2.  Goalkeeper Nick Ciraldo picked up his third win of the year, saving two shots. 

The Vikings will be back on the soccer field on Sunday (Oct. 27), as CSU will travel to Ohio State, with kickoff beginnig at noon.
