BRENTWOOD, Tenn. - Cleveland State shot rounds of 291 and 289 and is in second place out of 12 teams after the first two rounds of the Belmont Fall Shootout at the par-72, 7,043-yard Nashville Golf and Athletic Club.

"Overall, it was a good day," head coach Steve Weir said. "We left a couple shots on the course, but the team once again put itself into contention on day one. It's all about execution now. We need to maintain our focus, stay loose and come out tomorrow and play the way that we know we are capable of playing."
