HEBRON, Ky. - Cleveland State shot a final round 316 and finished 14th of 17 teams at the Cincinnati Bearcat Invitational on Tuesday at the par-72, 6,103-yard Traditions G.C.

"This was a disappointing way to end the fall season," head coach Steve Weir said. "We had put together two decent rounds yesterday and had hoped to use today to go into the winter months with some momentum, but that wasn't the case today. We have a lot of things to get straightened out and think about as we look toward the spring season."

Senior Kyle Cobb shot a final round 78 and was the Vikings top finisher, tying for 22nd place at 226 (75-73-78).

Junior Kent Monas had CSU's low round of the day today, firing a 77 and finished tied for 25th at 227 (76-74-77).

Miami (Ohio) won the event at 889 (305-287-297) by four shots over Ball State, while Miami's Nathan Sutherland claimed medalist honors at 210 (74-69-67).

The Vikings will be out of action until next spring when they open the season at the Francis Marion Invitational in Florence, S.C., on Feb. 22-23.
