CHARDON, Ohio - Cleveland State began play in the Telich Sun Life Financial/CSU Invitational on Monday at the par-72, 7,085-yard Sand Ridge G.C.

The first round was completed on Monday afternoon, but the second round was suspended due to darkness with about 12 players still on the course. Those players needed to finish one or two holes in order to complete the second round.

Those needing to finish will return at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 29, to conclude the second round. The groups will then be repaired and the third and final round will begin at 9:00 a.m.

"It's always nice to host your own tournament and play on such a familiar course," head coach Steve Weir said. "Unfortunately, we couldn't get much going today with the wind and cooler weather that we endured. I was happy with the way we were able to bounce back in the afternoon round and hopefully we will be able to keep improving tomorrow."

Senior Kyle Cobb fired an opening round 76 to lead the Vikings. He is tied for 11th place. Freshman Alex Michalowski is tied for 37th after a first round 80.
