WEST CHICAGO, Ill. - Cleveland State stood pat in the final round of the John Dallio Memorial Invitational, posting a 300 to finish in 12th place at 909. Northern Iowa lapped the 14-team field by 13 strokes to claim the team title at 866. DePaul hosted the 54-hole event at the par 72, 6,969 yard Prairie Landing GC.

"We played better today, but the course was, giving up some pretty low scores and we didn't take full advantage of it," CSU head coach Brian Varsey said. "However, we were very strong on the back nine and hopefully that will carry over to our next event."

Leading by just two after 36 holes, Northern Iowa closed with a tournament-low, four-under par (284) to finish at 866, 13 shots clear of South Dakota State. The host Blue Demons and Southern Illinois tied for third at 881.

DePaul's Matthew McMahon defeated Southern Illinois' Andy Rauscher on the first playoff hole to earn medalist honors after both players finished at six-under par (210). SIU's Andrew Gwinup and Detroit's Mark Sommerfeld tied for third at 213.

CSU senior Ben Grandy tied for 32nd at 226, while junior Doug Barber finished at 227 to tie for 36th.

The Vikings are in action again on Oct. 2-3 when they travel to Williamsburg, Va. for the William & Mary Joe Agee Invitational.
