Sept. 14, 2004

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - Cleveland State moved up two spots in Tuesday's final round at the John Piper Intercollegiate to finish10th out of a field of 16 schools. "We have a very young team this year and I thought they showed more and more confidence as the tournament progressed," CSU head coach Tom Porten noted. "This was a respectable start to the season and it was nice because we got a look at every league team but Loyola."

Craig Pickerel (Bowling Green) and Joe Weber (Marquette) finished tied for second, two shots out of the lead.
