BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Jake Scott shot a final round one-under-par 71 and finished fourth overall at the Adidas Indiana Invitational on Sunday. The 54-hole event was played at the par-71, 6.813-yard IU Championship Golf Course.

Scott's 71 helped the Vikings card a 294 on the final day and move up one spot to finish sixth of 16 teams.

CSU totaled 889 (298-297-294), finishing 10 shots behind Purdue, Indiana "B" and Western Illinois, which all tied for third place at 879.

"It was good to knock a few more shots off our score today, but I know this team is capable of playing even better," head coach Steve Weir said. "I saw some good things out there today and hopefully we can have a strong final tournament at Purdue next week before the league championship.

"We also need to get healthy," Weir said.

Junior Kyle Cobb, who is CSU's No. 2 or No. 3 golfer, missed his fifth straight tournament, but Weir is hopeful he can return at Purdue next week.

After rounds of 70 and 71 yesterday, Scott carded another 71 today to finish at 212.

Jorge Campillo of Indiana earned medalist honors with rounds of 68-67-68 (203), helping the Hoosiers claim the team title as well. Indiana shot rounds of 287-274-278 (839) to defeat second place Eastern Kentucky by 27 shots.

The Vikings will play in their final event before the league championship when CSU competes at the Purdue Invitational on April 18-19.
