Postgame Quotes

Cleveland State Head Coach Gary Waters:
"(Opening Statements) Horizon League Champions, that's what we are. We had to fight to win a game because sometimes it's not easy. That team is a pretty good team, we just hit them quick. We helped them in the process but our kids were resilient down the end and executed to win a game. It's not the last game here for Norris (Cole), but it's the end of the Conference. You know how good he's been in this conference and how much he's meant to this program. You need certain people to put your program on the map and Norris is a front-runner in that for us."

"(On inside to Aaron Pogue and bench play) I went to Josh (McCoy) somewhat early. I wanted to give Norris (Cole) some rest. We wanted to go to Aaron and we want to constantly go to Aaron. That should have been a 12-point win, we have to learn how to win down the line. I have to get him to eliminate any unnecessary fouls. I feel bad for the kid, they (officials) look straight at him. He's developed and his body has lost close to 30 pounds."

"(On winning four in a row) we have to prepare them for four (wins). When you get to this point, you have to take care of business. It's going to be hard, because everybody has to contribute. I thought Joe (Latas) played a good game and gave us quality minutes. "

Cleveland State's Norris Cole:
"(On Senior Night) It felt good. There was a lot of emotion. I wanted my teammates to know that it wasn't about me and it was a team effort. As you saw, in the first half, everybody contributed and that's why we jumped out on them."

"(On inside play of Aaron Pogue) That's important balance in our offense. When Aaron is playing well, it loosens up the game for everybody. Just talk to him (to get him started), give him touches. He's a winner and he knows how to win. When he plays big, our team plays big."

"(On where he is now) Freshman year I was trying to make and through the years I wanted to get better and keep the winning tradition. I knew I could (average 20 points). If I needed to score I could for our team."

"(On if he has any regrets) No regrets. This program has worked hard to get where it is now."

Green Bay Head Coach Brian Wardle:
"(Opening Statements) Tough loss for us. Obviously we played a good team, I give CSU a lot of credit. When you play a really good team on their court, you can't come out flat and when you do . I am glad Norris Cole is a senior because he is one of the best in the league I have ever seen and he made big shots when they needed it."

"(On Aaron Pogue) Size. We have two freshmen that have hurt us all year. Guys his size have given us problems and that hurt us. He's a very good player, but we did not want the big players (Trevon) Harmon and (Norris) Cole to beat us. Post defense has hurt us all year."

"(On Norris Cole) Norris Cole's numbers and what he's done, he's put this team on his back at times. It would be hard to think he's not winning it (HL MVP), he's that good of a player. There's no doubt we will be seeing him playing in the NBA. I think he has that ability. I think he is going to be a good solid pro."
