Reith (Student-Athlete 1964-68; Coach 1995-01) spent time at Cleveland State as a student-athlete and coach, helping to build the fencing program into one of the top teams in the Midwest. As a student-athlete, Reith posted a career record of 110-43, including a 41-7 mark during his senior campaign. A two-time NCAA Qualifier, Reith was named the CSU Athlete of the Year following the 1966-67 season.

During his six seasons as head coach of the Vikings, Reith mentored five All-Americans – including two First Team honorees – while 11 student-athletes qualified for the NCAA Championship under his tutelage.

Reith will become the fifth men's fencing student-athlete and third fencing coach to be inducted into the Cleveland State Athletics Hall of Fame.
