CLEVELAND, OH - Cleveland State junior cross country runner Audrey Piotrowski has been selected as the Horizon League representative to the NCAA Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). She is one of just 31 student-athletes from across the nation that was chosen to represent their respective athletic conferences on the national committee.

"This is a great opportunity for Audrey and we are extremely proud and honored that she is representing Cleveland State on the national level," CSU Director of Athletics Lee Reed said. "Her selection speaks volumes about how the CSU athletic program is perceived across the country. The NCAA and SAAC will significantly benefit with Audrey involved."

At Cleveland State, Piotrowski serves as the secretary of SAAC and is responsible for community service efforts.

Piotrowski, a native of Parma and graduate of Normandy H.S., serves as a student-athlete liaison between the happenings on campus, conference and national levels for the Horizon League. She is responsible for gathering feedback and reporting to the league SAAC members on these issues, while also relaying important events, hot topics and educational information to both the campus and conference levels.

The mission of SAAC is to enhance the total student-athlete experience by promoting opportunity, protecting student-athlete well being and fostering a positive student-athlete image. The SAAC also offers input on rules, regulations and policies that affect student-athletes' lives on NCAA member institution campuses.
