INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Eight student-athletes from Cleveland State, including four volleyball players, were selected to the 2010 Horizon League Fall Academic All-League team.

The league office released the team on Wednesday afternoon and it featured 50 student-athletes from five fall sports who were honored in balloting by the League's faculty athletics representatives and sports information directors.

CSU's eight selections were the third most among the league's 10 schools, trailing Butler's 11 and nine from Valparaiso.

Earning a spot on the volleyball team were senior Amy Benz, juniors Jordan Goad and Amy Grabiec and sophomore Kara Koch.

The women's soccer team had two selections in senior Marley Griener and junior Natalie Daniels, while men's soccer player Jeff Baker and cross country standout Brittany Elmlinger were also selected to their respective teams.

The Horizon League recognizes student-athletes with seasonal Academic All-League Teams in each of its 19 championship sports.
