BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Cleveland State scored 974 points and finished 32nd at the 2009 Great Lakes Regional Championship on Saturday morning at the Indiana University Championship Cross Country Course.
"Today was a perfect day to run and I thought we competed well on a tough course," head coach Joe Jaketic season. "We ran hard all season long and today was no different. I was happy with everyone's performance and I think we did a great job of achieving several of our goals this season."
Allison Craine was CSU's top finisher, placing 173rd in 24:27.
"Allison ran hard today," Jaketic said. "She cut more than two minutes off the top time we had at regionals on this same course five years ago."
Sophomore Brittany Elmlinger was 193rd in 24:50, while sophomore Kelly Zaleski was 201st in 25:12.
The event concludes the 2009 season for the Vikings.
"I thought we had a great season and I look forward to improving even more next season," Jaketic said.
