Christina Swierz enters her second season on the cross country squad after playing softball for the Vikings.

2005 - Freshman Season:

Competed in four events in first season of cross country...posted a personal-best 21:11 at the Horizon League Championship (10/29).

2006 - Sophomore Season:

Made three relief appearances on the mound, posting a 1-0 record with a 0.84 ERA in 8.1 innings of work.

2005 - Freshman Season:

Started on the mound nine times, posting a 1-5 record and a 3.12 ERA...garnered first career win in complete game effort against North Carolina A&T.

High School:

Named Miss Softball in Lorain County and second team All-Ohio as a senior...fanned 253 batters and posted a 0.60 ERA as a senior...two-time conference MVP...batted .350 and struck out 242 as a junior...set school record with 263 strikeouts her sophomore year.

Personal:

Born Jan. 7, 1986...daughter of Karen and Tom Swierz...has two sisters, Cheryl and Rebecca...health science major.
