Shannon Graves is in her first season as an assistant coach for the Viking cross country squad.

She ran for CSU in 2006 after playing four years of softball for the Vikings. At the 2006 Horizon League Cross Country Championships, Graves helped lead the Vikings to an eighth place finish.

As a junior, she led the Vikings in runs scored (24) and sacrifices (14), was second on the team in stolen bases (15) and third in hits (44). Graves was named the Horizon League Player of the Week (5/9).

As a sophomore, Graves saw action in 50 games, cracking the starting lineup 46 times. She batted .267 and finished second on the team in hits (36), multi-hit games (12) and sacrifices (10). In addition, she stole 14 bases in 21 attempts, good for second in the Horizon League.

In 2003, Graves appeared in 29 games, scoring 11 runs and stealing four bases.
