ATHENS, Ohio - The Cleveland State track & field team was back in action at the Cherry Blossom Invite Saturday, paced by a trio of event wins from Natalie Keller, Ana Crangle and Landry Driskel.
Keller posted her win in the 5000 Meter Run, finishing in a time of 18:09.00, while Crangle's win came in the 3000 Steeple Chase when she crossed the finish line in a time of 11:14.09. Driskel picked up her win in the Discus, posted a mark of 42.22 to lead the field performers.
Madison Morris and Tilly Nasende also posted a pair of top-five finishes on the day, Morris with a time of 59.87 to finish fourth in the 400 Meter Dash and Nasende with a fifth place showing in the 100 Meter Dash (13.10).
In the 3000 Meter Run, Ariana Coats paced the Vikings with a second place finish (11:15.60), while Sage Colòn placed third with a time of 11:33.56.
In field events, Grace Frye placed second in the Shot Put with a mark of 13.40 and third in the Discus (41.84), while Karly Klaer recorded a fourth place showing in the Javelin (31.14).
Cleveland State will be back in action next week, participating in the Jesse Owens Classic and Sparky Adams Invitational.
