CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State cross country team will continue its 2021 lineup this weekend, taking part in the All-Ohio Championships on Friday, September 17. The women's 6K race is slated for a 2:45 p.m. start.

Friday's All-Ohio Championship is hosted by Cedarville University, and will take place at the Elvin R. King Cross Country Course in Cedarville, Ohio.

The All-Ohio Championship is open to all NCAA Division I, Division II, Division III, and NAIA teams from the state of Ohio. For the 2021 race, the Vikings will be one of over 35 teams competing, including Horizon League opponent Wright State.

Two Races, Two Top-15 Finishes For Sarver | 2021 Race-By-Race Results
Through the first two races of the 2021 campaign, sophomore transfer Kiannah Sarver has posted a pair of top-15 finishes. Sarver started the season with a ninth place finish at the Wooster Invite (4K time of 15:57), and followed that up with a 15th place finish at the Tommy Titan Invite last weekend (5K time of 19:59).

Friday's race will be the first 6K of the season for the Vikings, as Cleveland State started the season with a 4K at the Wooster Invite and then ran a 5K course at the Tommy Titan Invite last week. This week's 6K distance will mirror the #HLXC Championship and NCAA Regional course length.

Friday's race will be the third of seven scheduled meets for the Vikings this season, as they transition back to their normal fall lineup. Cleveland State will participate in five regular season meets, before taking part in the 2021 Horizon League Championships at the end of October and the NCAA Regionals during the beginning of November.
