Vikings To Compete In Horizon League Track & Field Championships

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Members of the Cleveland State cross country team will compete in their final track meet of the 2014 season this weekend, taking part in the Horizon League Track & Field Championships. The Vikings can compete for individual titles, but will not be eligible for team awards.

The 2014 Horizon League Championships will be hosted by Youngstown State, and will take place at Farmers National Bank Field.

The Vikings will be represented by Megan O'Keefe in the 800 meter run, Alanna Shamrock, Jesse Stallings, Ashlyn Woods, and Ashley Lydic in the 1500 meter run, and Katie Webb and Erin Pavick in the 5000 meter run.

The prelims of the 800 meter run will begin at 4:15 p.m. on Saturday (May 2), with the top-8 (top time in each heat plus next five best times) advancing to the finals which will take place at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday (May 3). The 1500 and 5000 meter runs will be final races only on Sunday - the 1500 beginning at 12:25 p.m. and the 5000 starting at 2:30 p.m.

Fans that are unable to attend the championship can follow along with Live Results and Live Video.
