Spikers Bouyer, Crain Earn League Honors

The Horizon League announced that Cleveland State freshmen Jamie Bouyer (Bedford Heights, Ohio/Chanel) and Kelly Crain (Perrysburg, Ohio/Perrysburg) have been named to the Horizon League All-Newcomer Team in volleyball.

Bouyer, a 6-0 middle hitter, posted impressive numbers for the Vikings in her rookie season. In 93 games, she totaled 293 kills (3.15 kpg) and 167 digs (1.80 dpg). Bouyer also recorded a team-high 113 blocks, averaging 1.22 per game and ranking third in the league. Additionally, Bouyer ranked seventh in the Horizon League in hitting percentage at .272.

Crain, a 5-10 setter, also played in 93 games for CSU. She totaled 127 kills (1.37 kpg) and 180 digs (1.94 dpg). Crain led the Vikings with 920 assists, averaging 9.89 per game, and recorded 47 service aces. In the conference she ranked fourth in service aces with .51 per game.
