"This is an exciting time for our program and we are thrilled to have the opportunity to play against an outstanding program in the NCAA tournament," head coach Chuck Voss said. "We are going to work hard in practice this week and go represent Cleveland State in the tournament as best we can."

The Vikings clinched the Horizon League's automatic berth to the NCAA Championship by winning the league tournament last weekend with a 3-1 victory over Valparaiso. CSU enters the tourney at 23-8 overall. Friday's match will be CSU's first-ever meeting with Albany.

The Great Danes went 21-9 this season, including 8-4 in the America East Conference.
