INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Two members of the Cleveland State volleyball team were honored by the Horizon League Monday (Nov. 14) afternoon, as Jordan Goad and Kara Koch both earned a spot on the All-Horizon League team for the 2011 season.

This marks the fourth time that Goad has been selected for an all-league team, while it is the third time that Koch has earned the honor.

Goad, who ranks third in the league averaging 10.5 assists per set, moved into second place on the CSU all-time career assists list this season, as she enters the league tournament with 4,403. The Toledo, Ohio native set a career-high with 62 assists against UIC earlier this season, which marks the fourth best match total in program history. Goad is just 46 assists shy of posting 1,000 for the season, which would mark the third time that she has done so throughout her career.

Koch is one of only two Horizon League players to rank in the top-10 in both kills per set and digs per set, ranking second with 4.1 kills and 10th with 3.1 digs. This season, Koch became the 14th Viking to record 1,000 kills on their career, and currently has 1,033. The West Salem, Ohio native set a CSU match-record against UIC earlier this year, posting 35 kills, which also marks the fourth highest single match total in Horizon League history.

The Vikings finished the regular season with a 20-7 record, marking the fourth time in the last five years that CSU has won at least 20 matches. CSU also posted a 13-3 mark in league play, earning the No. 2 seed for the 2011 Horizon League Championship.

Cleveland State, who earned a bye into the semifinals of this weekend's tournament, will face the highest remaining seed out of the quarterfinals on Saturday (Nov. 19) at 6:00 p.m.
