CLEVELAND, Ohio - For the third time in the last four weeks, Cleveland State senior right side Beth Greulich has been named the Horizon League Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week. Greulich earned the honor after leading the Vikings to wins over Valparaiso and Butler last weekend.

The league office made the official announcement on Monday (Oct. 26) afternoon.

Greulich, who is earning the award for the seventh time in her career, became just the second player in school history to eclipse 1,200 kills and 350 blocks in a career last week.

She hit a sizzling .420 (35 K, 6 E, 69 TA) for the Vikings last week, helping the Vikings extend their winning streak to 11 straight, the third longest streak in school history.

Greulich began the week with a 22-kill performance in a 3-1 win over Valparaiso on Friday night, allowing the Vikings to move into sole possession of first place in the league. She came back with 13 more kills on Saturday in a 3-0 sweep of Butler.

The Vikings, who are now 22-5 overall, return to action with two matches in Chicago, Ill., this weekend. CSU plays at Loyola on Friday (Oct. 30) at 8:00 p.m. EDT and at UIC on Saturday (Oct. 31) at 5:00 p.m. EDT.
