CLEVELAND, Ohio - Cleveland State senior right side hitter Beth Greulich has been named the Horizon League Offensive Player of the Week following her performance in three CSU wins last week.

The Horizon League office made the announcement on Monday (Oct. 5) afternoon.

"This is a well-deserved honor for Beth," head coach Chuck Voss said. "She had a great week for us and has been getting stronger and stronger as the season has gone on."

In leading CSU to a 3-0 mark last week, Greulich averaged 4.00 kills per set, while hitting .471 (36-3-70). She also registered eight blocks, scoring 40 points (4.44 pps) for the week.

Greulich began her week with an 11-kill, two block effort in a win over Eastern Michigan on Sept. 29. She hit .500, committing just one attack error in 20 attempts.

In Friday's sweep of UIC, Greulich again came through with 11 kills, hitting .417 (11-1-24) with three blocks. She concluded the week with 14 kills and three more blocks in Saturday's win over Loyola. She hit .500 (14-1-26) against the Ramblers.

Greulich ranks second on the team with 205 kills, while hitting at a .323 clip this season. She has also contributed 52 blocks, 29 digs and 27 assists.

The Vikings will be back in action three times this week, beginning with a 7:00 p.m. contest at Youngstown State on Wednesday (Oct. 7). The Vikings then return home to host Milwaukee on Saturday (Oct. 10) at 7:00 p.m. and Green Bay on Sunday (Oct. 11) at 4:00 p.m.
