Cleveland - The Cleveland State volleyball team won a tough-fought match Friday night at Woodling Gym, toping Butler 30-19, 25-30, 30-27, 30-27. With the win, the Vikings improve to 18-11 (5-8 Horizon League) on the season while the Bulldogs drop to 13-17 (6-7 HL).
Three Vikings reached double-digits in kills. Senior Michelle Iafigliola (Mentor, Ohio/Mentor) paced the CSU squad, knocking down 22. Sophomore Jamie Bouyer (Bedford Heights, Ohio/Chanel) posted 17 kills on the night while freshman Alisa Hatcher (Bellefontaine, Ohio/Bellefontaine) added 14.
CSU will conclude the regular season tomorrow at Woodling Gym, playing host to Wright State at 2 p.m. Seniors Iafigliola, Lori Betchker (Amherst, Ohio/Steele), and Kristine Dabbelt (Batavia, Ohio/Batavia) will be honored prior to the match.
