CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Cleveland State volleyball team extended its Horizon League win-streak to four matches Friday evening, as the Vikings earned a 3-0 victory over Wright State. With the win the Vikings are now 14-5 overall and 7-1 in the Horizon League, while the Raiders fall to 2-19 overall and 1-8 in the league.

Set scores against the Raiders were 27-25, 25-19, 25-22.

During the first set the Vikings battled back from a four point deficit at the 19-15 mark to earn a 27-25 win. During the second half of the frame CSU was led offensively by Kourtney Volkmer and Megan Barhorst who tallied three kills each. The Vikings were able to put the set away on a Marie Frease kill and a Raider error.

The Vikings and the Raiders traded points during the first half of the second set until CSU was able to gain a three point lead (20-17) off of back-to-back kills from Barhorst and Kara Koch. CSU closed the set on four straight points, including three kills from Koch and one from Jackie Dabbelt for the 25-19 win.

The third set was much of the same, until the Vikings were able to tally three straight points to give CSU a 21-17 advantage. During that stretch the Vikings got kills from Barhorst, Frease and Jordan Goad. CSU was eventually able to earn the 25-22 victory on a Frease kill and a Wright State error.

Koch notched her seventh double-double of the season against the Raiders, as she posted a match-high 13 kills and 11 digs. Barhorst added 10 kills for the Vikings, while Amy Grabiec tallied 12 digs and Amanda Medvetz posted 10. Goad recorded 40 assists for CSU, while also posting eight kills and eight digs.

CSU will continue Horizon League play Saturday afternoon as the Vikings host Butler in a 4:00 p.m. contest.
