Nicole Niemi joins the Viking program as a walk-on and will add to the depth on the right side. She has a powerful left handed swing and is able to terminate points at the net. She will have to adjust to the speed and flow of the collegiate game quickly, but is more than capable of contributing if called upon.

High School

• Lettered her final three years at Lakewood H.S. after playing her first year on the freshman team.

• Helped team to sectional title as a senior, playing for coach Bojan Miocinovic.

• Selected to all-conference team as a junior and senior.

• Named first team all-district following her senior season after earning honorable mention all-district honors as a junior.

• Voted team MVP as a senior.

• Also played basketball and softball.

• Born Sept. 19, 1991, in Lakewood, Ohio.

• Daughter of Mark Niemi and Lynda Carter.

• Has one sister, Rachel, who runs cross country at Cleveland State.

• Served as Vice President of Honors Society and was class VP.
