Cleveland State Volleyball Tabbed Fifth In #HLVB Preseason Poll

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Horizon League released its 2023 Volleyball Preseason Poll Thursday afternoon, with Cleveland State tabbed to finish fifth in the competitive 10-team league.

The Vikings return 12 letterwinners from last year's team that advanced to the semifinals of the #HLVB tournament, including reigning #HLVB Freshman of the Year Laken Voss and All-League honorees Karly Klaer and Madison Olinger. The 12 returners will be joined by five newcomers for the 2023 campaign, and will be under the direction of 24-year head coach Chuck Voss.

Cleveland State will open the 2023 campaign at the Leatherneck Classic this weekend, facing Murray State (Friday, August 25), Western Illinois (Friday, August 25) and Tennessee State (Saturday, August 26). This weekend's matches mark the beginning of an 11-match non-league slate for the Vikings, while Cleveland State will open its 18-match Horizon League lineup on Tuesday, September 19.

Season tickets are on sale now for Cleveland State's 13-match home slate, with pricing set at $75 per ticket. In addition, fans can also purchase a 'Battle of Northeast Ohio' two-match package for $20 that includes tickets to the Vikings' home opener against Akron on September 6 and the Kent State matchup on September 14 along with a T-Shirt.
