INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Horizon League announced the 2022 Volleyball All-Academic Team Tuesday afternoon, with the Cleveland State trio of Sarah DeGeorge, Lydia Latimer and Audrey McConihe all being recognized.

McConihe is earning All-Academic honors for the second straight season, while Latimer and DeGeorge earned a spot on the team for the first time in their careers.

On the court, this trio has helped the Vikings earn their 20th trip to the Horizon League Tournament under head coach Chuck Voss, as Cleveland State will be the No. 4 seed in the upcoming #HLVB Championship.

McConihe leads Cleveland State with 379 digs this season, and recorded her 1,000th career dig with a six-dig effort against Wright State earlier this season. Following regular season play, McConihe ranks 10th in the CSU Career Record Book with 1,160 career digs.

DeGeorge has joined McConihe as an essential part of the Viking defense this season, combining for 258 digs on the year. In addition, DeGeorge has been Cleveland State's strongest server, posting 37 service aces.

Latimer has been one of Cleveland State's top offensive threats, posting 204 total kills as one of two Vikings with 200+ kills on the season. Latimer has also been Cleveland State's best blocker, averaging 1.17 blocks per set through regular season play.

The marks the third straight year that at least two Vikings have earned All-Academic honors from the Horizon League.
