Hall & Greene Named First Team All-Horizon League

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Horizon League announced the 2019 postseason awards Thursday afternoon, with Cleveland State junior Hannah Greene and senior Trinniti Hall both earning a spot on the All-League First Team. 

This marks the fifth time out of the last six years that the Vikings have had two or more representatives on the #HLVB First Team, while it is the 12th total time during head coach Chuck Voss' tenure.

During the 2019 campaign, Greene and Hall combined for over 50-percent of the Cleveland State offense, recording 670 total kills after appearing in every set for the Vikings. Hall finished the year with a team-high 359 kills and ranked third in the #HLVB standings averaging 3.32 kills per set, while Greene recorded 311 kills on the year and ranked fifth among league players with a .284 hitting percentage.

This duo also led Cleveland State's blocking efforts on the season, as Greene finished with a team-high 117 total blocks while Hall added 100 blocks for the Vikings.

Greene, who ranked sixth in the #HLVB standings averaging 1.08 blocks per set this year, finished the season tied for 10th in the CSU Career Record Book with 275 block assists.

Hall also finished the year with 204 digs after transitioning to a six-rotation player late in the season, and 23 service aces.

Greene and Hall are both picking up postseason honors for the second straight year, as Greene was named Honorable Mention as a sophomore, and Hall earned First Team accolades as a junior.
