Volleyball Falls To Boise State, 3-1

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State volleyball team dropped its first contest in Woodling Gymnasium of the 2016 season Saturday afternoon, falling to Boise State, 3-1. Cleveland State now stands at 4-2 after two weeks of play.

Match Stats
· Sara Skeens was the lone Viking in double-digit kills, posting a team-best 12 kills on a .300 hitting percentage (12-3-30).
· Grace Kauth added eight kills to the Viking offense, while Gina Kilner notched seven.
· Grace Kauth and Jordan Verbiak led the Viking defense, Kauth posting a team-best 19 digs and Verbiak recording 14.
· Aaliyah Slappy posted a team-best six blocks – including a pair of solo blocks – while Sara Skeens added three blocks for the Vikings.

· Jordan Verbiak's 14 digs marked a season-high for the freshman.
· Sara Skeens tied her season-high with her 12-kill performance.
· Saturday's contest marked the first meeting between the two teams in program history.
