Vikings Set For Doug Raymond National Qualifier

CLEVELAND, Ohio –The Cleveland State track and field team will continue its indoor slate this weekend, competing at the Doug Raymond National Qualifier hosted by Kent State on Friday, February 14 and Saturday, February 15.

On Friday, field events will begin at 4:00 p.m. followed by running events at 5:00 p.m., while field events will start at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, with running events slated for a 12:00 p.m. start on Saturday.

This weekend's meet at Kent State will mark the seventh meet of the indoor season for the Vikings, and one of two remaining tune-ups before the Horizon League Indoor Championship (February 29-March 1).

Last time out, the Vikings participated in the Akron Invitational and Oberlin College BSN Invitational, with Cleveland State's top finishes at both meets coming in the 800 Meter Run. Anna Brandt posted a time of 2:15.61 at the Akron Invite to finish sixth, while Margaret Smith finished second at the Oberlin invite with a time of 2:26.53.

RECORD BOOK | HORIZON LEAGUE TOP TIMES

So far this season four Vikings rank in the top-five among Horizon League finishes, as Monica Johnson ranks second in the 60 Meter Hurdles, Anna Brandt ranks third in the 800 Meter Run and Azsah Bradley (60 Meter Dash) and Hannah Korte (5000 Meter Run) rank fifth. Cleveland State's 4x400 Meter Relay time of 4:00.80 that they recorded at the Akron Invitational last weekend also ranks among the top-five performances so far this season.
