INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Horizon League announced its Outdoor Track & Field All-Academic Teams Wednesday afternoon, with Cleveland State sophomore Anna Brandt earning a spot on the 19-member team.
Brandt, who competed in mid-distance events for the Vikings this spring, owns a perfect 4.0 GPA as a health science/pre-physical therapy/exercise science major.
Brandt has been named to the Cleveland State Dean's List every semester of her collegiate career, and is a two-time CSU Athletic Academic Honoree. This marks her third All-Academic Team nod, as she also earned a spot on the cross country and indoor track and field teams earlier this year.
Throughout the outdoor season, Brandt set personal-bests in the 400, 800 and 1500 Meter runs, while also setting program records in the 800 (2:16.55) and 1500 (4:49.87) events.
At the Horizon League Outdoor Championship earlier this month, Brandt helped the Vikings to a seventh place finish with a program-best 40 total points.
The Horizon League recognizes student-athletes with Academic All-League honors in each of its 19 championship sports. To be eligible for Academic All-Horizon League consideration, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.20 or higher and have completed at least one year at the member institution, having earned 24 semester-hour credits.
