Track & Field Set For Doug Raymond National Qualifier

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State track and field team will participate in its final tune-up before the Horizon League Indoor Championships this weekend, taking part in the Doug Raymond National Qualifier hosted by Kent State on Saturday, February 9.

Complete Schedule | Field events will begin at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 9, while running events are set for a 1:00 p.m. start.

CSU Record Book | The Vikings enter the seventh weekend of the indoor season having already set 12 individual records this year, while the team also holds 28 current top-five marks.

Mixon & Brandt Own Multiple Records | Out of the 12 individual records set so far this season, Anna Brandt has been responsible for four, while Tylar Mixon has set two of them. From this season alone, Brandt owns CSU records in the 500, 800, Mile, and 3000 Meter Run, while Mixon sits at the top of the record book in the 60 and 200 Meter Dash.

Horizon League Times | Entering the weekend, Cleveland State is ranked in the top-five among Horizon League runners in six individual events: Anna Brandt (800-2nd, Mile-2nd), Tylar Mixon (60-5th, 200-5th), Monica Johnson (60H-5th), Julianne Dorothal (Pentathlon-5th).

#HLTF Indoor Championships | The 2019 Horizon League Indoor Championship is set for Saturday, February 23 and Sunday, February 24, and will be hosted by Youngstown State University. The Vikings will be trying to improve on their finish from last year, in which three Vikings earned podium finishes.
