Cleveland, Ohio - The Cleveland State women's tennis team will close out its brief three-match homestand this weekend, as the Vikings are set to host Green Bay and Milwaukee in Horizon League action. CSU will first face Green Bay at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, April 6, before hosting Milwaukee at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 7.

The Vikings, who enter the weekend with a 10-7 (2-0 HL) record, most recently defeated Youngstown State, 5-2 to mark their sixth straight victory over the Penguins. Last Saturday's win also marked the third straight for CSU and improved its home record to 5-2 this season.

Sophomore Alex Power, who has won three straight singles matches, is closing in on her first 20-win season, as she enters the weekend with a 19-11 record. During the spring season Power has notched a 7-6 record at No. 4 singles and a 3-1 mark at the No. 5 spot. She would become the first Viking to record 20 wins this season and the 10th all-time.

Junior Nicole Janek is also closing in on a milestone, as she currently has 49 career victories needing just one more win to become the eighth Viking to notch 50 wins on their career. Janek, who has won four out of her last five singles matches, leads CSU and the league with a 13-4 record this spring, including a 10-3 mark at No. 5 singles. With a singles victory this weekend, Janek would become the second Viking to reach the milestone this season (Maria Lazaris) and the third current Viking (Catrine Bjerrehus).

The Opponents
Green Bay enters the weekend with a 3-9 overall record and a 1-2 mark in league play, most recently topping Valparaiso, 6-1. Green Bay has a trio of players with a 4-6 singles record this spring; Maria Anderson, Rebecca Nelson and Morgan Weuve.

Milwaukee currently stands at 9-6 (2-0 HL) on the season, but has been away from competition for the past two weeks. UWM's two league victories came against Green Bay (6-1) and Valparaiso (7-0) back in February. The Panthers, who will face Youngstown State prior to Saturday's match against CSU, have been led by Maddy Soule (11-4) and Chelsea Bailey (10-5) this spring.

Under head coach Brian Etzkin the Vikings hold a 9-2 record against Green Bay and a 9-1 mark against Milwaukee.
